COVID Impact Bargaining Update 08/04 – ServiceNet

We had a successful bargaining session Monday, August 3rd. Members on the negotiating team were able to reach a tentative agreement that will be voted on by the entire membership for approval this week!

Congratulations on all your hard work advocating for what we deserve and winning pay that goes beyond the May 1st timeline that management originally offered. Below is a summary of the tentative Memorandum of Agreement:

Coronavirus Safety Committee

  • There will be a safety committee that focuses on developing safety protocol and problem solving workplace issues around COVID-19
  • There are 9 bargaining unit member positions available on this committee
  • Union members on the committee will be paid for 1 hour of meeting time each week
  • This committee will meet once a week beginning on the week of August 10th and continues until September 28th, with an opportunity for extension if committee members deem it still a necessary committee

The Recognition Payment

  • Employees still at ServiceNet upon time of agreement shall receive $2.40 for straight time and $3.60 for overtime for hours worked between March 13th and May 1st, as well as a payment of $3.25 and $4.87 for straight time and overtime, respectively for the hours worked between May 2nd and June 30th

Further Negotiations:

  • The Parties agree to meet to bargain if additional money becomes available for staff compensation due to the Coronavirus for the agreed upon period or for future months.
