The US has long inflicted violence upon immigrant families, Latinx families, Muslim families, Black families, and indigenous families. It has caused untold violence (>1 million deaths) in the War on Terror in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq, to name only a few countries.

This morning the Supreme Court upheld the ban against Muslim immigration, separating immigrants from those countries from their families and homelands indefinitely. This is not just about family togetherness but liberation for all, those with families and those without.
