We have represented Mental Health Counselors and Certified Nursing Assistants at Providence Behavioral Health Hospital since they unionized in 1997 over cuts in pay and benefits and increased healthcare costs.
SPBH is a 125-bed behavioral health hospital located in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Providence provides inpatient short-term acute treatment for people experiencing acute psychiatric and/or substance abuse problems.
We have members employed in the Child, Adult and Geriatric inpatient psychiatric units. We also have members employed in the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Detoxification Unit.
