AFSCME local 1776, the union who represents many of our workers in the dining commons, Physical Plant, housing, etc. is fighting to represent non-unionized workers on campus. A category of employee, 03, is considered to be temporary, and so those hired as ’03’s’ work for much lower wages and few benefits.
