UAW Local 2322 Election Results and Nomination Extension

We, the elections committee, below announce the results of the 2022 Triennial elections for the local Executive Board and delegate election for the UAW Constitutional Convention. Each election was won by acclamation, and therefore no ballot voting is required. Due to vacancies for the positions of Sergeant at Arms and the second Delegate At-Large, the nomination period for these positions will be extended until 5pm (est) on Tuesday April 26, 2022. More information on these positions is included below.

NOMINATION EXTENSION NOTICE
A reminder, the only eligible positions for nomination is the Sargent at Arms and one At-Large Convention Delegate.

Sergeant at ArmsIntroduces new members and visitors. Maintains list of members of Executive Board, Joint Council, and members in good standing eligible to attend meetings. Helps preserve order at meetings and assists in boosting attendance. Takes charge of all property of the Local. Back up missing Board members’ duties as needed at monthly meetings.

At-Large Delegate to Convention

Local 2322 is entitled to one other at large delegate to the UAW 38th Constitutional Convention, which convenes at Cobo Center, Detroit, Michigan on July 25-28. It has been the past practice that airfare, hotel bills, registration fees and a per diem for all attendees are covered by the local

The delegate must be a member in good standing of any of the other worksites represented by Local 2322, a member in good standing for at least three months of the Local Union prior to July 1 2022, and a member in good standing of the International Union for at least one year (12 consecutive months) prior July 1 2022. This delegate will be elected by members in good standing from all worksites.


ELIGIBILITY TO HOLD OFFICE

No member shall be eligible for election to any office unless they have been a member in continuous good standing in the local union since April 5, 2021 or before. A member may not run for or hold more than one Executive Office but may simultaneously run for and hold the office of Steward and/or Executive Office.

NOMINATIONS

All members in good standing of UAW Local 2322 are automatically nominated for all offices. To run, you must accept nomination in writing, delivered either by hand, mail or fax to the Local Union office or emailed to the Elections Committee NO later than April 26th at 5pm EST.
