The Cutchins Residential unit has two separate programs. The UAW bargaining unit consist of Residential Milieu Counselors, Senior Milieu Counselors and Night Milieu Counselors. The quality of care provided by the union staff is exceptional and the turn over rate is low. Even though the rate of pay is low for the counselors, the UAW team of workers not only fight for a fair contract and improved working conditions for themselves they also are strong advocates for their clients.

One program is a cluster of three residential treatment houses with a school and clinic in Northampton. The Northampton Center for Youth and Families (NCCF) provide a therapeutic milieu for 22 at risk adolescents and children.

The other program serves twelve children with severe emotional difficulties. The children are between the ages of 5-12 years old in a highly structured residential program in Springfield. The facility includes the residence, school, clinic and a gym.
